Balance, it's all we seem to hear from anyone in their twenties, is how do you find balance, work-life balance is one of the most difficult things to get a hold of during your twenties. The urge to say yes to everything that comes your way, as a feeling of missing out or missed opportunity, however sacrificing your time for something your heart's not entirely set on is what a lot of us feel we do on a weekly basis.
The entire UK culture is based upon drinking and partying, so conforming to the norm seems to be the easiest and most accessible option, however as many of you reading this will know, it's not really worth it is it?…
Put a price on your time, one thing that has helped me is identifying how much my own personal time is worth, at an hourly rate of let's say £2000/hour for anything, fitness, social or career. With this in mind you can price any new opportunity that comes your way, if you feel giving away two hours of your time isn’t worth £4000, then that’s when its time to say no, and find that one thing you want to spend your time on.
Obviously a balance is needed in this context, however the bottom line should be that your time should have a price tag, it's the most valuable asset we have, we don’t have a lot of it, we don’t even know how much of it we have, so be wise with how you use it, but most importantly - LIVE.
