We caught up with Daniel Chan, founder of PERCNT, to discuss the brand’s journey and ambitions.
“I launched PERCNT in July 2024 with a mission to inspire constant growth - both in fitness and in life. Our mantra, ‘Find Your Why,’ is about turning motivation into discipline, helping people stay committed to their long-term goals. Our garments are more than sportswear; they are a representation of who you are and what you stand for.”
A run club to remember and solidified why I started this brand, which was to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and age groups with a shared common interest -Fitness.
PERCNT is a pursuit of 1% improvement in all aspects of your life, focussing on fitness and the mental, PERCNT is a product of your surroundings, a brand focussing on developing each and every one of you who wears our garments, a community of likeminded individuals with a shared passion for the pursuit of better.
'To go places you have never been you have to do the things that you never have done'
From the very beginning of our journey, our goal has been to craft our own range of performance wear, built from the ground up, with developments and designs that have been tweaked as the brand continues to push past the noise. The final product is 99% race-ready – products we are proud of, that reflect our time and energy, and that have gone through our design, development, testing, and critique stages.
Discipline out runs motivation ten times over, and its through discipline we come out the other said fuelled and raring to go. Those rest days should be kept at a minimum over winter and funnel the days you don't feel like training into what we like to call 'OFF-PACE' days.
Training because we know its the right thing to do, reglardless of our pace or the session itself.
Obviously a balance is needed in this context, however the bottom line should be that your time should have a price tag, it's the most valuable asset we have, we don’t have a lot of it, we don’t even know how much of it we have, so be wise with how you use it, but most importantly - LIVE.
